Our projects

Our organization is involved in numerous projects focused on empowering girls against poverty.

Poverty remains a significant barrier to education for school-going girls in Africa, leading to high dropout rates, limited academic performance, and restricted future opportunities.

Girls' Education & Retention.

UGAP works to strengthen access to and retention in quality education for vulnerable girls. Through mentorship schemes, bursary support, life-skills curricula, and sustained community engagement, UGAP ensures that girls remain in school and are equipped for productive adult lives.

Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights.

UGAP promotes comprehensive SRHR knowledge and services as a fundamental right for all girls and women. We work to eliminate stigma, ensure access to quality services, and enable informed decision-making.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Elimination of Harmful PracticeS.

UGAP employs a comprehensive, multi-level approach to prevent and respond to GBV, including Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C), child marriage, and domestic violence.

Women's Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods.

UGAP equips women and girls with the financial knowledge, vocational skills, and assets needed to achieve economic independence and resilience against poverty.
