A few words
About Us
UGAP Africa is a non-governmental organization led by and for women, committed to uplifting girls and young mothers through transformative programs.
Who We Are
Uniting Girls Against Poverty (UGAP) is a Kenyan non-governmental organization dedicated
to the holistic empowerment of girls and women by dismantling the structural, social, and economic barriers that perpetuate poverty, inequality, and marginalization. Founded on the conviction that investing in girls and women is the most transformative pathway to community development, UGAP designs and implements evidence-based, community-rooted programs that address interlocking challenges across education, health, rights, and livelihoods.
Our programming is intersectional, participatory, and survivor-centered. We work in close partnership with communities, local governments, civil society organizations, and international development partners to build inclusive systems that leaves no one behind. UGAP believes that sustainable change is achieved by amplifying the voices of girls and women themselves, making them agents of transformation in their families and communities.
